Enoch's Walk with God
Genesis 5:24 - "Enoch walked with God; then he was no more, because God took him away."
Hi there, champs! Today, we're zipping back to Genesis 5. This chapter has a list of people who lived very long lives. But one person named Enoch stands out. He didn't just live; he "walked with God." And guess what? He didn't die! God took him away.
"Walked with God" might sound like a long hike in the woods, but it's not about walking shoes or paths. It means Enoch lived his life close to God, like best friends who share secrets and always want to be together. They talked, laughed, and spent so much time together that one day, God said, "Enoch, let's hang out at my place today!" and took him to heaven without him dying. Cool, right?
So, what does this mean for us? Enoch shows us that we can be friends with God. We can talk to Him about everything - our hopes, dreams, fears, and even about that math homework that feels like climbing a mountain.
You might wonder, "How do I walk with God?" It can be as simple as starting each day with a "Good Morning, God!" Or maybe saying thank you to Him when you see something beautiful, like a butterfly or a rainbow. And don't forget, you can always ask for His help when things are tough.
Remember, God loves your company, just like He loved Enoch's. So, let's start walking with God, today and every day!
