Forgiveness, A Gift from the Heart
Genesis 50:20 - "You intended to harm me, but God intended it all for good. He brought me to this position so I could save the lives of many people."
Today we're talking about the end of a big, exciting adventure, the last chapter in the book of Genesis. This is where Joseph, who was once sold by his brothers, now saves them from a terrible famine. Cool, right?
Joseph's brothers were scared that he might be angry and want to get back at them. But Joseph did something amazing. He forgave them! He saw that God used the tough times to do something super special - save many lives!
Now, let's think about Jesus. Just like Joseph, Jesus forgives us for all the wrong things we do. Even if we make mistakes or hurt others, Jesus still loves us and forgives us. Isn't that wonderful?
So, next time when your friend takes your favorite toy without asking, or your little brother breaks your special drawing, remember Joseph. And remember Jesus. Even though it might be hard, try to forgive them. Because when we forgive, we're being like Jesus, and that's the best thing we can be!
Remember, forgiveness isn't just saying the words, it's a gift from the heart. And the best part is, it makes not just the other person, but also you, feel so much better! So let's forgive and spread love just like Jesus.
