The Legacy of Righteousness

Genesis 5:24 (New Living Translation)
"Enoch walked with God; then he was no more, because God took him away."

Imagine sitting with your child, flipping through the pages of an old family album. Each picture tells a story, a story of your ancestors, their lives, their values. In every page, you see a shared thread of faith and integrity, a legacy handed down through generations.

This intimate moment mirrors the essence of Genesis 5:24. Enoch's life wasn't marked by grand acts or stunning miracles. Instead, he was remembered for his consistent, faithful walk with God. His legacy was one of righteousness, a beacon for his descendants.

As parents, we're called to leave a similar legacy for our children, a legacy built on our daily walk with God. It's in our everyday actions, our decisions, our words, and our attitudes where we demonstrate to our children what it looks like to walk with God.

When we strive to live out our faith daily, we're not just teaching our children; we're guiding them to live a life of faith. We're planting seeds of righteousness that they'll nurture throughout their lives, and one day pass on to their own children. Our daily walk with God, our commitment to His teachings, will become their beacon, lighting their path as they forge their own walk with God.
