Genesis 1: Students
Beginning with God
Verse: Genesis 1:1 (New Living Translation) "In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth."
Remember the excitement of starting something new? Perhaps it was your first day of high school, or maybe the first time you sat behind the wheel for driving lessons. There's anticipation, but also a sense of not knowing what lies ahead.
The Bible starts with a "beginning" too – the creation of everything we see around us. God, with His infinite power and wisdom, created the heavens, the earth, and everything in it. This truth isn't only about the world around us; it's also about you. God, the creator of everything, thoughtfully and intentionally designed you as well.
As you navigate through life, especially during these transformative teenage years, remember that you're not an accident. You're a masterpiece from the hands of the ultimate Creator. You carry in you a purpose and a design that's far greater than anything you can imagine. As you make choices, face challenges, and celebrate victories, let this knowledge be your guide. You begin with God and His love for you.
Pause & Pray:
1. Thank God for His creation, and for creating you with purpose and intention.
2. Ask God to guide you in understanding His plan and purpose for your life.
3. Pray for the wisdom to make choices that align with God's design for your life.
