Stepping Out in Faith

Genesis 12:1 (New Living Translation) "The Lord had said to Abram, 'Leave your native country, your relatives, and your father’s family, and go to the land that I will show you.'"

Imagine this: You've been offered the opportunity to study abroad. It's exciting but also frightening as you'd be leaving your comfort zone and stepping into the unknown. This situation mirrors Abraham's in Genesis 12.

God asked Abraham to leave his familiar surroundings and go to a place He would show him. Abraham didn't know where he was going, but he trusted God and stepped out in faith.

Like Abraham, there may be times when God calls you to step out of your comfort zone. It may be scary and uncertain, but remember that God is with you in the unknown. The faith you exercise in such times allows you to experience God's promises and blessings in ways you wouldn't otherwise. Trust in His guidance, as Abraham did, and see the amazing things He will do through you.

Pause & Pray:

1. Thank God for His guidance and His promise to be with you in every situation.
2. Ask God for the courage to step out in faith when He calls you to new experiences.
3. Pray for trust in God's plan, even when you can't see the full picture.
