Becoming Who God Says You Are

Genesis 17:5 (New Living Translation) "What's more, I am changing your name. It will no longer be Abram. Instead, you will be called Abraham, for you will be the father of many nations."

Have you ever felt boxed in by people's perceptions of you? Maybe your peers see you as the class clown, the jock, or the shy one, but inside you know there's more to you than that. It's a tough spot, much like the one Abram found himself in.

Abram was a man living in the reality of childlessness, but God saw him differently. He changed Abram's name to Abraham, declaring him a father of many nations, even before the promise was fulfilled. God had a bigger plan, a broader identity for Abraham.

Likewise, God sees you not just for who you are, but who you can become in Him. He sees beyond your current struggles, your grades, or your status at school. You are infinitely more in God's eyes. Your challenge is to embrace the identity that God has for you, even when it doesn't match the current reality.

Pause & Pray:

1. Pray for the courage to embrace the identity God has for you, despite how others see you.
2. Ask God to show you His plan for your life and the faith to trust in His promises.
3. Pray for strength to live as God sees you, rather than how the world sees you.
