Genesis 24: Students
A Guiding Light in Decision-Making
Genesis 24:12 (New Living Translation):
"O Lord, God of my master, Abraham," he prayed. "Please give me success today, and show unfailing love to my master, Abraham."
At your age, you're often faced with important decisions. Choosing the right college, deciding on a career path, or figuring out where to invest your time and energy. It can feel overwhelming. But what if you could ask for guidance from the one who knows the best path for you?
In Genesis 24, Abraham's servant is on a crucial mission to find a wife for Isaac, Abraham's son. Instead of rushing into this daunting task, the servant pauses and prays. He asks God for success and direction.
This simple act of praying before a significant decision is something you can do too. God's guidance can lead you in the right direction, just as it did for Abraham's servant. Remember, God knows your heart and your future, and He is always ready to guide you on the best path for your life.
Pause & Pray:
1. Pray about the decisions you are facing right now, asking God to guide you.
2. Ask God to help you trust in His guidance, even when His plans don't match yours.
3. Thank God for His unfailing love and His willingness to guide you in every situation.
